Short Company History
The history of our company goes back to 1862 when Alexander Schoeller acquired the iron and steelworks in Ternitz.
Schoeller-Bleckmann began fabricating apparatus for the chemical, food and beverage industries in 1935. In the past 30 years the company has chiefly positioned itself as a producer of sophisticated equipment for the fertilizer industry.
In 1986 all equipment fabrication operations were concentrated in Ternitz.
After a checkered period in its history, in 1996 SBN was taken over by Nooter Corporation, St. Louis, Mo.
With the takeover of SBN by the Christof Group at the end of April 2008, an Austrian corporation resumed posession of the company. SBN's position as one of the world's leading manufacturers of top-quality high-pressure equipment is massively supported by the affiliated company ACE, a manufacturer of apparatus.
